About Us

David has been a photographer for over 20 years, living in Frisco, Texas for the past 14 years. He has always had a passion for capturing nature, people, and still life in a way that articulates the essence of the subject and presents it to the viewer with clarity and artistic focus. His goal is to reflect the inherent beauty and mystery present in our everyday world. In 2006, David was awarded "Best Black and White" in the annual Heard Museum photography contest for one of his many West Texas landscapes. In the past few years he has also been awarded "Best in Show" and other honors in the annual "On My Own Time" art contest that is sponsored by the Dallas Business Committee for the Arts.

Our family recently had Chalker Photography take individual and family photographs at our home. The results were spectacular. David Chalker has an amazing ability to capture the moment. Watching David work with our three children (two of them very fussy and tired and not really interested in having their pictures taken) was amazing. David established a comfortable rapport with each and engaged them in things they were interested in. The result was relaxed and natural photos that captured "who" our kids really are. We have had a number of other photographers shoot pictures and too often the outcome looks staged, with pasted-on smiles that are cheesy and fake. The resulting photos taken by David Chalker were outstanding. David counseled us in advance about what we might wear and he suggested a time when lighting would be best for a photo shoot in our home. He arrived as scheduled and set up his equipment quickly. Then he proceeded to patiently work his magic, taking numerous individual photos of our children and then family shots. Within a couple of days we received an email invitation to view our "proofs" on Chalker Photography's web site. The process was timely and convenient and allowed us to review the pictures at our leisure, with no pressure to purchase "this package" or "that package". Chalker Photography's sitting fee was fair and reasonable as were his prices for one or many prints. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Chalker Photography. The process was relaxed and easy; the outcome professional and fairly priced. We highly recommend Chalker Photography for individual, family or other photography needs. A side note: our first experience with David Chalker was when we purchased framed prints of photos he had taken in West Texas and in Peru. Amazing pictures.
